DHDR is widely regarded in Arizona as the gold standard of rescue organizations. We volunteer and have fostered a number of Dobermans who ultimately found wonderful forever families.
Our DHDR Fosters
Rico was with us for 10 months while we looked for his forever family. He was treasured by Paul and Mary until he crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 1/1/22
We fostered Sammy two times. Sammy was adopted in May 2020 by Aly, who already had Petra, Sammy's original littermate, an unbelievable life fairy tale.
When Toretto came into DHDR, he was 5-1/2 years old and had lived all his life in a backyard 10x10 enclosure. We were his second foster family. In an incredible life event, Toretto was adopted by his first DHDR foster family, Holly, in March 2020, and he is now a treasured family member, living indoors, although loving a morning sunbath in the courtyard.
Apollo was rescued from extremely unfortunate circumstances. Apollo found his forever family with Sue and Roy. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge in December 2018. We mourn him every December.
